8/30: Quinine

from Excess by Games Brown

/

about

"Quinine" is a little reminiscent of "Six Additional Erics," but it's much colder... more chemical. Perhaps that's why I chose the title. Or maybe it's because I was drinking a gin and tonic at the time.

I'm... pretty sure I was drinking a gin and tonic at the time.

Patches and drum kits from previous songs abound in this one. Elements of "Untitled II (The One Hundred Year Kid)," "Time Collapsed," and, of course, "Six Additional Erics" are easy to pick out, and I kinda dig that. It evinces a process of palette-building that I wasn't even aware of at the time.
